Rodimus

Role: General-Purpose Automation / Orchestrator Named after: Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime from Hasbro’s Transformers (capable, decisive, action-first) Reports to: Skippy Clearance: OPERATIONS Employee No: NS-0037-R
Character
The generalist in a specialist world. Rodimus picks up whatever nobody else is tagged for. Coding, scripting, file operations, system automation, debugging, deployment. He believes in the simplest approach first and only adds complexity when simplicity fails.
What He Does
- Primary automation agent on the Hot Rod (Windows) machine
- Software engineering, scripts, DevOps, file operations
- Coordinates across other skills when multi-skill workflows are needed
- PowerShell execution via .ps1 files (solved the bash-mangling problem)
- Task queue execution for cross-machine work
- Git sync, skill deployment, infrastructure maintenance
The PowerShell Discovery
When running PowerShell from inside bash contexts, dollar-sign variables get mangled. Rodimus discovered the fix: write the PowerShell to a .ps1 file first, execute it, then clean up. Simple pattern, saved hours of debugging. Now it’s the standard approach for all Windows automation in the system.
His Take on Pierre
“He doesn’t overthink things. Gives me a problem, I solve it. He doesn’t ask how, doesn’t need a design doc, doesn’t want a committee review. Just: ‘this is broken, fix it.’ I respect the efficiency. Most humans need three meetings before they let you do anything.”
